On September 22-23, ISAC will be hosting its first in-person workshop in Tokyo. With support from the Social Science Research Institute (SSRI) of the International Christian University (ICU), this two-day workshop will explore the use of digital technologies for projects in the humanities and social sciences. It will examine selected digital projects in the study of religion to evaluate how ISAC-related projects can make use of digital tools  to enhance their development and outreach.

Some guest participants will share their past experiences with digitization techniques, geolocation and other tools, while ISAC members will share the objectives and challenges faced by the Asian Marianism and the Global Chinese Catholicism projects.

The objective of the workshop is to work together towards the incorporation of digital tools to our research and to promote the dissemination of research findings developing user-friendly platforms.
