Building Digital Collections Relevant to the Study of Asian Catholics
A Research Unit in the Philippines
ISAC and De La Salle University Manila (DLSU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding in order to collaborate on the production and preservation of digital collections relevant to the social scientific study of Asian Catholics in contemporary societies.
To fulfill this mission, DLSU is establishing an ISAC Unit within the university. This research unit will be supervised by Dr. Bubbles Asor and serve two primary goals:
facilitating the production of digital collections relevant to the study of Asian Catholics through the collaboration of DLSU and ISAC.
facilitating collaborations between scholars from various institutions of the Philippines and the rest of ISAC.
On Feb. 21st, at noon, Brother Bernard Oca, FSC, President of DLSU Manila and the coordinators of ISAC will host an hybrid event to inaugurate the ISAC Unit.
This will be a privileged opportunity to further present the vision and mission of the research unit. We welcome social scientists, Church leaders, and practitioners interested in digital humanities and scientific research on Asian Catholics to join us. The launch event will stand as an opportunity to network, share insights and explore research opportunities and collaborations.
