ISAC@DLSU Manila
Building Digital Collections Relevant to the Study of Asian Catholics
A Research Unit in the Philippines
ISAC and De La Salle University Manila (DLSU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding in order to collaborate on the production and preservation of digital collections relevant to the social scientific study of Asian Catholics in contemporary societies.
To fulfill this mission, DLSU is establishing an ISAC Unit within the university. In dialogue with its Advisory Board, this research unit will be supervised by Dr. Bubbles Asor and serve two primary goals:
-
facilitating the production of digital collections relevant to the study of Asian Catholics through the collaboration of DLSU and ISAC.
-
facilitating collaborations between scholars from various institutions of the Philippines and the rest of ISAC.
We are currently developing a series of Digital Collections, including the Chinese Christian Couplets Collection and the Oral History of Asian Catechists.
In addition to the production of Digital Collections, ISAC@DLSU organizes academic events and research collaborations relevant to the social scientific study of Asian Catholics. If you would like to be informed about these events, please subscribe to our mailing list:
Scholars based in the Philippines who would like to become an affiliate of the unit can contact Dr. B. Asor for more information: bubbles.asor@dlsu.edu.ph
Enquiries about the Unit can be addressed to isac@dlsu.edu.ph
